A BIG DAY FOR MIKE

 A BIG DAY FOR MIKE

It began as a regular day.  Up and breakfast by 8:30am.  Maria arrived at 9:30 and as I left for the campus. Tim arrived for physical therapy for Mike. The day was really unusual.

Mike is moving forward and learning new ways of strengthening his arms --   and the bands are a big help.  Tim showed him new strategies that will change and develop his muscles.

All this is in addition to his daily walks, which are so important to his whole recovery.

Just as Tim was completing his work with Mike, Terry Josilin came to visit and share lunch with Mike.

Mike and Terry shared memories, as she was one of his students.  She reminded him about her challenge in getting into the program and how she sought her objective.

She is now living on a ranch where she has her own chickens for eggs, her large and wonderful garden with wonderful vegetables.

They went out for a walk, something Mike is insistent in making sure he does daily.

Lunch followed the walk.  Terry brought everything!  And the lunch was from her garden!

She left a bounty of food that will last Mike for a while!!

After lunch, Terry had her meetings and Mike took off for the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

I was able to pick Mike up after the therapy and we went to the Santa Barbara Historical Museum where they were celebrating the opening exhibition and presentation by Neal Gray on:
